JENSON O’NEILL-GOING TO MAKE MINI CHALLENGE DEBUT AT SILVERSTONE
Jenson O’Neill-Going will make his debut in the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE this weekend at Silverstone after signing up to contest the final two meetings of the 2025 season.
O’Neill-Going will compete for the family Jamsport Racing team as the team returns to the JCW class for the first time this season, with his entry being supported by New Hope Rentals.
The youngster moves into the MINI CHALLENGE having previously enjoyed success in the Fiesta Junior Championship , where he secured the championship title last season in his rookie campaign.
“I’m really excited to be stepping up into the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE JCW Championship with Jamsport Racing,” he said. “To make my debut in a New Hope Rentals-backed car is really special, and I can’t thank them enough for their support.
“Having grown up around Jamsport and racing being such a big part of my family, this opportunity means a lot to me. After winning the Fiesta Junior Championship last season, I’m ready to get back on track, learn as much as possible, and make the most of this next step.
“A big thank you to New Hope Rentals, Jamsport and my family for their ongoing support.”
Team boss Jamie Going said he was excited to see his son make the step up into a JCW car for the remaining rounds.
“Seeing Jenson progress into the MINI CHALLENGE JCW Championship is a very proud moment for me, both as his dad and as Jamsport’s team principal,” he said. “He has been around the team since the very beginning, growing up in the paddock and learning from everything going on around him.
“To now see him driving one of our JCWs is a special moment for all of us. It will be a steep learning curve, but I know he’ll give it everything, and I’m excited to see what he can do.”
The full livery for O’Neill-Going’s car will be revealed ahead of the weekend.
