MINI CHALLENGE ANNOUNCES SUMMER ESERIES

Organisers of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE can today confirm a special eSeries that will run during the summer, with entries now open to anyone wanting to take part.

As was the case with previous incarnations of the MINI CHALLENGE eSeries, the championship will be run in partnership with the Virtual Reality Racing Club (VRRC) and will be held across seven dates in July and August.

The first six events will be run weekly on a Tuesday evening, with a two-week break between the penultimate and final rounds.

Each event will follow the same format of a 60 minute long practice session followed by 15 minutes of qualifying – where the quickest driver will score additional championship points.

Two races of 30 minutes then follow, with bonus points offered to the driver who sets the fastest lap.

Qualifying and the two races at each of the events will be shown live on the VRCC YouTube channel for every round, with commentary being provided by Richard John Neil; the voice of Vertu MINI CHALLENGE coverage on ITV.

RJN will also carry out post-session interviews with drivers after each session during the live broadcast.

Drivers will compete in bespoke liveries, with an official MSUK Clerk of the Course and Race Director in place to monitor driving standards and issue penalties where applicable. The top three drivers will be awarded trophies in each race, with a special medal for the driver of the round at each event.

All events will benefit from social media coverage across the various Vertu MINI CHALLENGE channels.

Entry into the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE eSeries costs £100 + VAT to cover every round, with further details and registration available HERE.
