MINI CHALLENGE CONFIRMS SNETTERTON TASTER DAY AHEAD OF 2026 CAMPAIGN

Organisers of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE can today confirm that the championship will once again run a post-season taster day for drivers who are interested in joining the grid in 2026.

The inaugural taster day last October proved to be a resounding success, with a number drivers in attendance going on to compete in the MINI CHALLENGE this year.

JCW racers Max Edmundson and Ned Anthony, JCW Sport title contender Henry Howarth, and Cooper racer Henry Foote and Monroe Rennard were amongst those who took to the track to sample MINI CHALLENGE machinery before firming up their plans to join the grid full time.

This time around, the event will be held at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk on 1 December, where a number of MINI CHALLENGE Approved Teams will be present with a variety of cars.

Those looking to take their first steps into competition, or seeking to graduate from Junior racing, will be able to get behind the wheel of a car from the hugely competitive Cooper class, whilst those looking to move up to a higher-profile series will have the opportunity sample either a JCW or JCW Sport machine.

Officials from the MINI CHALLENGE will also be in attendance in order to provide additional information on the series, and to answer any questions and queries, whilst hot and cold drinks will be available throughout the day.

Drivers will need either a Motorsport UK Senior Ards race licence or a road licence in order to take part on the day.

Anyone who takes part in the taster day and then goes on to compete in 2026 will have the cost of their taster day credited against their entry fee.

“The taster day was a new idea last year and it was one that proved to be hugely successful,” Championship Co-ordinator Rhea Beauchamp said.

“We saw a number of drivers sign up to compete in the championship on the back of sampling a car during the taster day, so if anyone is interesting in joining our grids in 2026, this is a fantastic opportunity to see more about what the MINI CHALLENGE is all about.”
