HANNAH CHAPMAN TO REJOIN MINI CHALLENGE GRID IN SCOTLAND

Hannah Chapman will make her second appearance of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE season on home soil at Knockhill after confirming her return in the Sustainable Fuel Development car.

The Dunfermline-based racer made her first outing in the series for 18 months during the opening meeting of the campaign at Donington Park, making her the first person to get behind the wheel of the Repsol-backed car in the series.

Running in the all-new JCW Sport category, the development car is being run by the MINI CHALLENGE this season as it works towards a more sustainable future, with the car running on a special fuel that is partly from a sustainable source.

As an invitational entry not eligible for points or trophies, Hannah produced two solid drives that saw her cross the line within the top three in the JCW Sport field in both races – although poor weather conditions saw the cancellation of what should have been her third outing of the weekend.

On the back of the Donington Park outing, Hannah made no secret of her desire to try and get back out on track for her home event at Knockhill, and will now seek to make the most of her local knowledge when she gets back behind the wheel this weekend.

“I’m extremely excited to return to the JCW Sport grid for my home round at Knockhill,” she said. “After my first outing in the Sustainable Fuel Development car was cut short due to the weather conditions at Donington, I’m really grateful to have another opportunity to get back out there to gain further track time, momentum and exposure ahead of my plans to return fully in 2025.

“I can’t thank everyone involved in making this happen enough, and although I’m technically invisible on track in terms of results, I’ll still be out there making the most of every second and looking to challenge at the front.”
