CAMERON RICHARDSON STEPS UP TO JCW GRID
Cameron Richardson will make the step up to the JCW grid for the 2025 Vertu MINI CHALLENGE season after being named as the second driver in the expanded NAPA Racing UK line-up.
Richardson made his racing debut with the team in 2023 in the entry level Cooper class, scoring a best finish of tenth and picking up multiple top 15 results in one of the most competitive categories in UK motorsport.
On that back of a solid rookie campaign, Richardson then moved up into the all-new JCW Sport class last year and earned a place in the record books when he scored the first ever class win during the opening meeting of the year at Donington Park.
That would be one of three class wins over the course of the season – along with twelve further podium finishes – as Richardson found himself in the heart of the championship fight before ending the campaign as championship runner-up.
Having taken huge strides forwards during his two years of competition to date, Richardson will now look to build on the progress made during his season in the Sport class as he move up to a full-blown JCW machine for the first time – making him the first driver to have progressed from Cooper to JCW Sport and then into the top class.
He will line up alongside fellow newcomer – and former Cooper rival – Alex Solley in the NAPA Racing UK line-up, with the final two drivers to be confirmed in due course.
“I can’t wait to get started this season!” he said. “We had a really great run last season in the JCW Sport, but this year is a clean slate and a new challenge.
“I know we’ve got the best team to tackle it with and we’ll give it our all.”
